Joy Ganaden

Joy Ganaden is a man who lives up to his name. There is never a dull moment whenever he is around. He is the resident funny guy of the club.

Joy started shooting photographs way back in the early 90’s as part of his curriculum in Fine Arts. Like many other struggling students, Joy narrates that he used to borrow camera from his schoolmates, or at times from his cousin to comply with his course requirement and confessed to not taking photography seriously then. It was only around 2004 when his interest in photography was reignited and decided to enroll in Photography Workshop conducted by the Federation of Philippine Photographers Foundation (FPPF) at Fort Santiago, Manila.

In 2006, Joy became a member of ALPHA Camera Club and had since been one of the most ardent members of the club. Joy photographs just about anything that captures his interest, thus making his creativity almost limitless.

Slowly but surely, he started making his mark in the field of photography as his photos gained recognition in the monthly national inter-club Photo World Cup competition of FPPF.

Joy’s advice to future members of ALPHA Camera Club is “to shoot from your heart,” and perhaps a grain of fun and laughter wouldn’t hurt; add a cup of coffee and winning is just a byproduct.
